I am Declan Galli, a rising actor and singer based in sunny California. I am graduating this spring with a B.A. in Music concentrating on Vocal Performance, with a minor in Theater Arts, concentrating on acting.
I love both acting and singing and plan to establish a career in the performing arts centered around my passion to bring meaningful change through art.
With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Cal Poly, I have cultivated a deep passion for various facets of the performing arts, including classical music, opera, acting, and production work. My journey at Cal Poly provided me with invaluable training and experiences that continue to shape my artistic endeavors.
During my time at Cal Poly, I immersed myself in classical music studies, honing my musical abilities and delving into the standard performance practices of different style periods. Additionally, I explored vocal pedagogy, gaining valuable insights into the art of teaching and nurturing musical talent.
In the realm of acting, I engaged in rigorous training through the Theater Arts Department, focusing on the Stanislavsky acting technique and Robert Cohen’s GOTE method. These methods have not only enhanced my performance skills but also deepened my understanding of character development and storytelling.
I have had the privilege of applying these skills in various performance opportunities, including the recent Opera Scenes production where I portrayed the character of Papageno. Additionally, I am currently preparing for my senior recital, where I will showcase my musical abilities and acting techniques in a 45-minute show.
Looking ahead, I am excited to bring my multifaceted talents, passion for the arts, and unwavering dedication to future projects. Whether on stage, in front of the camera, or behind the scenes, I am committed to creating impactful and memorable experiences through my craft.
